A Festive Franchise Extended
For the third consecutive year, Barbour released a Christmas film produced by Aardman Animations. The 2025 instalment marks the first to feature Wallace & Gromit, following two earlier films starring Shaun the Sheep. The film was produced at Aardman's studio in Bristol using stop-motion animation.
The story centres on Wallace's latest invention: the Gift-o-matic, a device designed — with characteristic Aardman chaos — to take the effort out of festive gift-giving. The machine is wrapped in Barbour's Winterberry tartan, a pattern introduced exclusively for the season.
Re-Loved and Charity
Alongside the campaign, Barbour launched a limited run of Re-Loved wax jackets inspired by the Wallace & Gromit characters. All proceeds from the collection were directed to Oxfam, connecting the seasonal campaign to Barbour's long-standing commitment to jacket longevity and circular fashion.
The partnership reflects Barbour's consistent Christmas brand strategy: a British heritage clothing label paired with a British heritage animation house — both with deep roots in northern England.
